Kimberly-Clark, manufacturer of popular personal care products, recently announced a recall of its Cottonelle Flushable Wipes, Cottonelle GentlePlus Flushable Wipes, and Cottonelle FreshFeel Flushable Wet Wipes for Adults, among others, over bacterial contamination.
The affected products were sold nationwide at retailers including Amazon, Costco and others, and were manufactured between Feb. 7 and Sept. 14, 2020.
In October, Amazon, Costco and other retailers began warning customers who purchased certain Cottonelle Flushable Wipes that their products might contain a strain of bacteria known as Pluralibacter gergoviae which was detected during product testing.
This strain of bacteria is an opportunistic pathogen that can cause serious infection in humans. Individuals who have a weakened immune system, suffer from pre-existing conditions, have been treated surgically, or belong to another sensitive group of persons are at particular risk of harm. Cottonelle is recalling all affected products.
If you purchased Cottonelle products that you believe were subject to this recall, contact us today. Please complete the questionnaire at the top of this page for a free consultation.
